Understanding AAA, AA, A, Southern Minny Levels

  1. “AAA” -The highest competitive level and every association shall have the right to enter teams in the AAA level.

  2. “AA”- The intermediate level, primarily intended to provide a uniform competitive experience for communities that are not able to compete at the AAA level or communities that already have teams at the AAA level.

  3. “A”- Offered for 10-15 only. The intermediate level essentially designed to be a developmental league to provide a competitive experience until they are ready to advance to a higher competitive level. The 14's and 15's are combined at this level.
  4. Players not trying out for, or who do not successfully evaluate at, AAA, AA, and A competition levels will be placed in the Southern Minny Baseball League.  The season starts after Rochester Public Schools' spring break and concludes in July.  Practices and scrimmages will dominate the first half of the season.  Games against other Rochester teams and potentially other local communities immediately surrounding Rochester are planned.    1-2 tournaments in Rochester or the Rochester local commuting area later in the season are also a possibility.  Starting at the middle school (12U) age group, teams will be formed based on future high school attendance as much as possible.
