Welcome to 2020 Summer Modified House Baseball

We are looking forward to another summer of baseball!

Official guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health along with the Governor’s office regarding safety in youth sports permits organizations like RYBA to hold organized practices, however games and tournaments are prohibited until further notice.

As a result, the RYBA House Program will be offering a development program this summer. Details are below.  Registration will be required. The development program will provide our youth with a much needed outlet, and give them the opportunity to focus on baseball skills, exercise & condition, and socialize with peers in an age appropriate practice model while we wait on further guidance. RYBA recognizes this development model will not be a fit for all families for both safety and/or personal reasons.

  • All summer registrations prior to June 5 were voided and will soon be refunded

  • A "modified" summer season starts June 29 and ends July 30 (5 weeks)

  • All players and have agreed to approved COVID guidelines developed by RYBA travel committee, and have signed a COVID waiver
  • Season fees were reduced to $20 for all grade levels, and there will be no jerseys, pictures,or umpires to start the season.

  • Team changes

    • No Tryouts - Every grade will be a flat grade level development league with varying levels of skill.

    • Teams formed in groups up to 30 people (including players and coaches)

    • If/when games are approved by state officials, teams will be split in half to field two sides

    • No less than 3 coaches per team

  • Schedule changes

      • Mon/Wed: K, 2, 4, 6-8

      • No July 4 break week
      • No tournaments
