Our House league is for children in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Practice and games are on fields in Rochester.

In Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade, children are grouped on teams of 11 to 13 players. PLEASE NOTE RYBA DOES NOT FORM SCHOOL/NEIGHBORHOOD TEAMS NOR CAN WE HONOR CAR POOL REQUESTS.  Practice and games are on the same nights with practice starting at 5pm followed by a game at 6pm. Teams practice and play on either a Mon/Wed (K and 2nd) or Tue/Thu (1st and 3rd) schedule during the months of June and July with a week off for the 4th of July. There are no umpires for the games; coaches officiate and instruct on the field during the games.

Starting in 4th grade there are two levels of play. We hold tryouts for kids interested in playing in the higher skilled league. The tryouts help us to group kids by their skill level. Tryouts are optional and tryout boundaries are determined by home address of the player. Once tryout areas are defined we invite all registered players in the area to participate in tryouts regardless of whether they indicated trying out on their form. Tryout boundaries are not based on quadrants of the city and do change from year to year depending on the coaches selected and the kids registered. Players selected in the tryout process are placed on majors teams and those not selected or who choose not to tryout are then placed on minor league teams.

Tryouts for 4th through 8th grade start in April. Team practice starts after tryouts and regular season practice/game nights start in May and run through July. There is also a year end weekend tournament for each league in July. Games are officiated by umpires and game scores and standings are posted. Trophies are awarded to the top finishing teams in the regular season and to the tournament winners.

Traveling - Coaches select practice and tournament schedules

* Note that reschedules and other evenings such as Fridays and Sundays may be used based on other variables such as games at the RBC complex and number of teams per league.

For grades K-5 games are at 6pm during the week nights assigned. There are no other practice nights assigned for the team. As kids get older, coaches will work in a practice occasionally into the schedule.  For games, players will arrive anywhere from 30-60 minutes early.

For grades 7-8 games are typically at 6pm during the week nights assigned but occasionally games at the RBC complex will be schedule under the lights at 8pm. Coaches will work in an optional practice occasionally into the schedule during the week or on the weekend.  For games, players will arrive anywhere from 30-60 minutes early.
